In cooperation with industry experts, Radiodetection pioneered the first Pipeline Current Mapper more than 20 years ago. It enabled survey technicians to identify potential causes of external corrosion on inaccessible pipelines, including those installed under rivers and highways. Since then, it has become the tool of choice for many organisations in the precise location of coating defects on pipelines. The PCMx builds on this heritage and, using Radiodetection’s most powerful locating technologies, delivers faster results, simultaneous survey measurements and integrated GPS positioning.

An increasing number of pipelines, ageing infrastructure and stricter regulations place growing pressure on corrosion specialists to complete their surveys more quickly and analyse results more efficiently. The new PCMx system has been developed to meet these challenges with faster measurements and greater mobility.

Carry out both ACCA and ACVG surveys in a single pass along the pipeline. With PCMx, both data types can be collected simultaneously, reducing survey time and delivering results faster.
