Which accessory groups are available?
• Mobility & handling: push carts, carriages, sleds, telescopic poles, carrying systems
• Position & trigger: odometers/encoders (DMI), start/stop triggers, markers (spray/flags/chalk)
• Positioning: GNSS/RTK modules, field controllers/data terminals, cable sets
• Power & connection: battery packs, chargers, power supplies, power distributors, spare cables
• Protection & service: radomes/covers, impact protection, transport cases, weather protection, service kits
• Software & workflows: field apps, 3D reconstruction, reporting & export modules

Selection guide
• Application profile: 2D profiles, 3D grids, road/area scans or structural diagnostics?
• Ground type: asphalt/soil vs. concrete – choose suitable carriages, radomes and encoders
• Accuracy: plan DMI and GNSS/RTK for metric distance measurement and georeferencing
• Energy demand: battery capacity, charging times, spare packs for full-day operation
• Data throughput: size controllers, storage media and software licences appropriately

Practical tips
• Before use, check time-zero and coupling surfaces and calibrate the encoder
• Standardise track spacing and survey lines for 3D grids
• Plan battery and cable management; keep spare parts ready to hand

FAQ
Do I need an encoder (DMI)?
For reproducible distance measurements, depth scales and 3D grids, a DMI/encoder is highly recommended.

When is GNSS/RTK worthwhile?
For area scans, corridors and documentation with site plans – RTK provides centimetre-accurate georeferencing.

Which batteries are suitable?
Use manufacturer-approved packs with sufficient capacity; plan chargers and spare batteries for full-day use.

What is the benefit of a radome/protective cover?
It protects antenna and electronics against impacts, dirt and moisture and improves gliding over rough ground.
