Sonde and pipe locating
With locating sondes for sewers and water pipes, lines can be precisely located from the surface. Depending on the application, locating sondes are available in different sizes and lengths and, depending on their size, can be located down to depths of up to 16 m. Our sondes generally operate at a frequency of 33 kHz, which has the advantage that interference from nearby power cables, district heating pipes or other lines has no or only very little influence on the sonde signal. In order to locate a sonde, a cable locator or sonde locator with the corresponding frequency is required. Locating sondes are usually mounted on fibreglass rods, which are then pushed into the pipes. The connection fitting of the fibreglass rod must match that of the sonde. Suitable fibreglass rods can be found in our rental range. If you have any technical questions, we will be pleased to assist you.
