MegaProbe PL42-05

The Probe PL42-05 from Vesala has been specially developed for locating cast iron pipes. It is designed for pipes with an inner diameter of 50mm or larger.


Technical key features

The probe has a diameter of 42.0mm and a length of 234mm. The maximum locating depth of the probe in plastic pipes is 13m and in cast iron pipes 8.4m. The probe becomes active only after inserting the battery; it can operate for up to 5 hours, depending on temperature. The Probe PL42-05 has an M12 (Female) thread and is protected to IP68 / IK08.

Attention: The Probe PL42-05 is waterproof up to 6 bar.

The Probe PL42-05 is mounted to a duct rod using the M12 (Female) thread. To avoid losing the signal during insertion, it is recommended to follow the probe with a cable locator.
