MicroProbe MPL6-33

The MicroProbe MPL6-33 from Vesala has been developed for locating water pipes. It is designed for microduct pipes and water pipes with an inner diameter of 8mm or larger.


Technical key features

The probe has a diameter of 6.4mm and a length of 84mm. The MicroProbe is flexible in the middle and can pass bends with a minimum radius of 190mm. The maximum locating depth of the probe in plastic pipes is 2.3m. The probe becomes active only after inserting the battery; it can operate for up to 9 hours, depending on temperature. The MicroProbe MPL6-33 has an M5 thread (Female) and is protected to IP67 / IK04.

Attention: The MicroProbe MPL6-33 is waterproof up to 4 bar.


Microduct calibration and pipe locating with the MicroProbe MPL6-33

The MicroProbe MPL6-33 is mounted to a duct rod using the M5 thread (Female). Optionally, the probe can also be mounted laterally on the push rod to protect it when hitting an obstacle. If the probe passes through the pipe without any issues, the pipe has been successfully calibrated. If it gets stuck, the probe can be located using a cable locator and the pipe can be repaired at the exact position. Afterward, calibration can be repeated.
