Probe PL18-33

The Probe PL18-33 from Vesala has been developed for locating water pipes and empty conduits. It is designed for pipes with an inner diameter of 21mm or larger.


Technical key features

The probe has a diameter of 18.0mm and a length of 85mm. The maximum locating depth of the probe in plastic pipes is 10m. The probe becomes active only after inserting the battery; it can operate for up to 20 hours, depending on temperature. A red indicator LED mounted at the end of the probe displays the battery status. If this LED stops lighting up, the battery must be replaced. The Probe PL18-33 has an M10 (Male) or M12 (Female) thread (depending on selection) and is protected to IP68 / IK08.

Attention: The Probe PL18-33 is waterproof up to 10 bar.


Pipe locating with the Probe PL18-33

The Probe PL18-33 is mounted to a duct rod using the M10 (Male) or M12 (Female) thread (depending on selection). To avoid losing the signal during insertion, it is recommended to follow the probe with a cable locator.

Optionally, various adapters are available for the Probe PL18-33 to mount it onto duct rods with M5 or M6 (Male) threads.
