Titan-Alu® Manhole Cover Lifter
With the ergonomic Titan-Alu® manhole cover lifter, even difficult-to-open manhole covers and caps can be opened with ease. Whether rusted or not opened for decades, the Titan-Alu allows all standard manhole covers and caps to be opened in just a few simple steps. Make your work easier. Discover Titan-Alu: the helpful tool for anyone dealing with sewer manhole covers as well as oil separator, gas, water, or cable shaft covers.
The problem is well known: a manhole cover cannot be opened. For hours, attempts are made with a hammer and rust remover to loosen the cover – without success. With the Titan-Alu, such covers can be released quickly and effectively in just a few simple steps.
How the Titan-Alu Works
Hook Function
The hook can be rotated in all directions, is adjustable in length, and can be fixed in the desired position using a knurled nut.
Positioning the Titan-Alu
The hook is inserted either into the handle recess or into a ventilation hole of the cover. If necessary, the hook can be turned sideways and hooked in laterally.
To use the Titan-Alu, the cover must have an opening or handle recess at the edge into which the hook can be inserted.
Proper Leverage
To achieve the correct leverage, after hooking in, align the lever lengthwise toward the center of the cover and pull it back until the hexagonal foot stands outside the cover. Then press the lever handle firmly downward to loosen the cover using leverage.
Opening
Now push the lever forward until both supports rest on the cover. Tighten the supports firmly using the star knobs to create a connection between the manhole cover and the "Titan-Alu" manhole cover lifter.
You will especially notice during closing how easily the cover can now be lifted, pulled, pushed, and rotated.
Extreme Conditions
Under extreme conditions and with particularly heavy covers, it is recommended to work with two cover lifters.
