Cable pulling grips: pull in cables safely and efficiently

Cable pulling grips transfer the pulling force evenly to the cable sheath, thereby enabling controlled pulling of cables through duct runs, manholes or along open cable trays. To ensure the connection holds reliably, the mesh, connector and operating environment should be matched to one another. The following points will help you make the right choice.

How to choose the right pulling grip

  • Cable diameter: Match the mesh size exactly to the sheath diameter – this maximises the holding force.
  • Connection: Combine the eyelet with a swivel joint to prevent twisting, and use secure connectors.
  • Operating environment: Choose the appropriate design for duct runs, manholes or open cable trays.
  • Safety: Observe the pulling force limits of the cable and accessories, and carry out a brief test run.
