Disc markers

Disc markers are flat passive markers that are laid horizontally above the utility point to be identified, for example above joints, pipe ends, service connections and road crossings. They work without a power source of their own and are later located with a locator that supports their frequency.

As with all passive markers, the utility type determines the frequency and colour, for example 83.0 kHz for gas, 101.4 kHz for telephone, 121.6 kHz for sewer, 134.0 or 169.8 kHz for power and 145.7 kHz for water. The versions differ mainly in diameter and burial depth: small discs fit even narrow trenches, others are designed for deeply laid routes.
