WATERCLOUD by F.A.S.T, online platform for the measurement data of BiDi loggers
Software
WATERCLOUD is the online platform from F.A.S.T where the measurement data of the BiDi loggers come together.

- For temporary and permanent monitoring applications
- BiDi LTE transmits via mobile network, BiDi LoRa via a LoRa network, BiDi Radio via Service Master and AZA-OAD app
- Remote configuration and correlation only with the BiDi LTE
- For BiDi LTE Logger, BiDi LoRa Logger and BiDi Radio Logger
- Two items to choose from: account opening and subscription (1 year per account)
Two screw-in eyelets for the BiDi noise logger: an eye bolt with a hexagonal collar and a bent eye screw
Screw-in eyelets that give the BiDi noise logger an attachment point for a rope or a hook.

- Screwed into the threaded mount of the logger
- This allows the logger to be placed in a manhole and retrieved again
- Two versions: ring bolt and eye screw; we clarify which one you need with the quotation
Round holding magnet for the BiDi noise logger with attached angle adapter and threaded stud
Holding magnet with angle adapter that fastens the BiDi noise logger to a fitting.

- For valves, hydrants or use inside manholes
- Also where the contact surface does not face the way the logger would have to sit
Transport case for BiDi noise loggers: plastic case with foam insert and slots for several loggers
Transport case that holds several BiDi noise loggers upright, each in its own recess.

- For the move to the next section of the network
Silver telescopic bar for the BiDi noise logger with green grips and a hook at the top end
Telescope bar with a hook for placing and retrieving the BiDi noise loggers.

- Places the logger in a manhole and retrieves it again without anyone climbing down
- The hook engages the eyelet on the logger
Switching magnet for the BiDi noise logger: small cylindrical magnet in a metal sleeve with a blue stripe
Switching magnet that switches the closed BiDi noise logger from outside, through the lid.

- A closed BiDi noise logger has no button

More from this range

Antenna extension cable for the BiDi noise logger: coiled black coaxial cable with a moulded connector at each end
Coaxial cable that moves the antenna of the BiDi noise logger away from the unit.

- The antenna sits up top while the unit stays down on the fitting, where the sound is
- Without the extension, transmission from under a steel cover or inside a cast-iron valve box is considerably weaker

Frequently asked questions

General1
After failing to locate the leak with correlation and geophones what are the next steps before considering relining?F.A.S.T

If traditional non-intrusive acoustic methods fail, our PipeMic Series can still yield impressive results. Since the PipeMic is introduced into the pipe itself it can pick up almost every noise, even with high ambient noise levels. Hydrogen tracer gas should also be considered as an application of last resort. This non-acoustic method can help to find even the smallest leaks and can be applied on empty and on live pipes (with our GasDiffuser).

How can noise levels from different ground materials be comparedF.A.S.T
Comparison between noise levels are only possible with the same ground material. The noise levels should always be seen as relative, never as absolute values.
Was this helpful? Thanks for your feedback!
What's the smallest leak size detectable with Hydrogen tracer gas?F.A.S.T
Hydrogen tracer gas can be successfully used to find the smallest leaks (dripping connections etc.).
Was this helpful? Thanks for your feedback!
Is this H2 tracer gas method only used in specific cases of leaks that were not detected by other means?F.A.S.T
Yes, tracer gas is often considered the step of the last resort.

What's a recommended distance between each BIDI Logger to guarantee a good coverage of the network?F.A.S.T
Propagation of leak noise at a pipe pressure of 4–6 bar and a leak size of a suitable magnitude (at least 3–4 mm) for standard structure-borne sound sensors: DN 50, DN 100, DN 200, DN 400, DN 600, DN 800, >DN 800, ductile cast iron:

How long does the H2 sensor last?F.A.S.T
There is medical grade, technical grade and industrial grade Hydrogen/Nitrogen gases. For leak detection the lowest and cheapest grade will suffice.

Do high flow velocities need to be reduced by closing valves when using the GasDiffuser (e.g. at times of maximum consumption)?F.A.S.T
This is not necessary.
Was this helpful? Thanks for your feedback!
How can the mixing of the tracer gas into the water stream be improvedF.A.S.T
The goal is to have "high turbulence" and "high flow velocities" at the insertion point. Therefore, if a valve is close by it makes sense to partially shut it to create more turbulence.
