The RUNPOTEC polyester pulling rope Ø 12 mm is designed for horizontal cable pulling with a capstan winch. It comes on a mobile steel reel from which it can be paid out and wound back in a controlled way, so the rope stays neatly stowed and is ready for use at any time.

Use and safety

Fit a connecting swivel with twist compensation between the pulling rope and the cable grip. It compensates for twisting between cable and pulling rope and protects the cable and the pulling system. A suitable swivel is the “Anti-twist swivel with compensating joint” by Volta Macchine in the 8,000 daN version (item no. JZ-D06000), which you will find under “Accessories & spare parts”. This size is intended for polyester ropes Ø 10 to 12 mm: the spliced loop is placed in the fork and secured with the screw pin, and the swivel's breaking load is well above the rope's total breaking load of 2180 kg. The matching pulling system is the CW 800 E capstan winch.

The rope is not suitable for vertical cable pulling and must not be used to carry or lift loads or persons.

The EDER WINCH 400 capstan winch (PW400) requires a synthetic rope of Ø 8 to 10 mm; this 12 mm rope is not intended for it.

We carry out firmware updates for devices from Radiodetection, Pearpoint and others as part of a service appointment. How is the RUNPOTEC Ø 12 mm pulling rope connected to the cable pulling grip?RUNPOTEC

The rope has spliced loops at both ends. For horizontal cable pulling, it is advisable to fit a connecting swivel with twist compensation between the pulling rope and the cable pulling grip: it compensates twisting between cable and rope, reduces friction resistance and protects the cable and the pulling system.

Is the RUNPOTEC Ø 12 mm pulling rope suitable for the EDER PW400 capstan winch?RUNPOTEC

The EDER WINCH 400 (PW400) requires a synthetic pulling rope of Ø 8 to 10 mm. The RUNPOTEC rope has a diameter of 12 mm and is therefore outside this specification. The matching pulling system for the RUNPOTEC rope is the CW 800 E capstan winch.

The Ø 12 mm polyester pulling rope has a total breaking load of 2180 kg, low elongation and a spliced loop at each end. It is wound on a mobile reel (Ø 770 mm, with wheels and parking brake) that allows controlled paying out and winding in.

The rope is not suitable for vertical cable pulling and must not be used to carry or lift loads or persons.
