T1 Transmitter
The T1 is a universal 1-watt signal transmitter that provides three traceable frequencies, two induction frequencies, and two power levels. By default, the T1 induces its signal directly into the ground.
It is the ideal companion for cable and pipeline locating when used with the SuperC.A.T4 series. The T1 transmitter is used to actively apply a tracing signal to cables or metallic pipelines, allowing the signal to be detected with a compatible locator.
The T1 is compact, robust, and easy to operate. Compared to the Genny4 transmitter, the T1 offers a wider frequency range, providing greater application flexibility.
The T1 was specifically designed for use with the SuperC.A.T4 product range. In combination with these locators, it enables advanced utility locating with real-time depth measurement and accurate tracking of cable and pipe routes.
Available Transmission Methods
INDUCTIVE
The T1 has an internal antenna that induces a signal onto the lines located directly beneath the device. This is useful when the utility is not directly accessible. In general, the induction mode is effective up to a depth of approximately 2 m. Note that induction couples the signal onto all conductors within its transmission field.
Induction mode is only available for frequencies of 8 kHz and higher.
DIRECT (GALVANIC) CONNECTION
Direct connection is the most efficient way to apply the T1 tracing signal to a specific cable or pipeline, ensuring accurate above-ground tracking. Connection can be made to any accessible metallic point such as valves, meters, distribution boxes, streetlights, pipeline markers, or other suitable access points.
